Kampusareena entitled to a finalist for EuroFM Partners for Innovation Awards 2018

University Properties of Finland Ltd (SYK) and Tampere University of Technology (TUT) were entitled to one of the finalists for EuroFM Partners for Innovation Awards 2018. The competition recognizes the most innovative service in FM, which can be any service, technological or organisational innovation contributing to the added value of facility management. Earlier, SYK and TUT merited a final place with the Kampusareena concept. The concept got elected as one of the Good Practises of Interreg Europe’s Innobridge project and was widely introduced in Keynote presentation in the Interreg Europe’s Urbact projects seminar. This year the winner of the competition was the partnership between Glintt (Global Intelligent Technologies) and Servassite. Glintt is a multinational IT and consulting company in the health care area.

The key point of Finnish partnership was promoting positive synergy in campus area. Kampusareena, in the heart of TUT Hervanta campus, bridges the companies, researchers, students and alumni from different fields. Kampusareena consists of innovation platforms in different floors, where those using the spaces, share the ideas and goals as well. The spaces and platforms are designed to support serendipity and collaboration aiming to innovations and successful business. Kampusareena remarkably enhances the interaction between the companies and the surrounding society.

The eleventh European FM Awards was held and presented in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the 5th-8th of June 2018. EuroFM is a network that unites Facility Management of Universities, researchers, companies and associations. Network has members from 23 European countries, also holding close contacts with FM operators in North and Latin America. Both SYK and TUT are active members within the EuroFM network.
