A campus that speaks Swedish
Established in 1918, Åbo Akademi University was the first exclusively Swedish-speaking university in Finland. The university provides Swedish-language higher education in the faculties of Education and Welfare Studies; Social Sciences, Business and Economics; and Science and Engineering.
The Åbo Akademi University campus extends between Yliopistonmäki and Aura river and along the busy Hämeenkatu. The campus has restaurants, cafés, a library, a student hall of residence and museums.
