The new synergy building currently under construction in Turku for medical education, medical research and diagnostics will house the Hospital District of Southwest Finland and teaching, research and diagnostic facilities of the University of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences. Medisiina D is the place of work and study for 1,400 students and 600 professionals.

Medisiina D will be erected in Kupittaa between the existing Medisiina building the new T3 hospital, near the T and A hospitals. The area will evolve into a close-knit, vibrant campus and a major concentration of health care and well-being.

The solution aims at creating a multi-user environment and adaptability that fosters synergy. The solution supports joint operatives and shared services while securing a healthy rate of occupancy and efficient use of space.

The building work is carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner. The project will be sought the BREEAM Bespoke environmental certificate.
